Butcher’s Hook Cottage
Redcar and Cleveland
Loftus sits where the North York Moors meet the coast, and Butcher's Hook Cottage puts you in the middle of it all. The village has a working cake shop, pubs, a Co-op, and a quiet character that makes it easy to settle in. The sea is less than two miles away; the moorland starts practically at the back door.
The cottage itself occupies three floors of a converted sandstone building. On the ground floor, a combined kitchen and living space opens up around an induction hob and a wood-burning stove—fuel is included to get you started. The first floor holds two double bedrooms and a shower room; the second floor has a bedroom with zip-and-link beds that work as either twin or superking. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all sorted. One car parks in the dedicated bay outside.
This works well for families or groups of friends who want a base for coastal walks, moorland rambles, or simply time away from noise. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The cottage is non-smoking.
