Open countryside surrounds Liverton Lodge, a 17th-century sandstone farmhouse positioned between the moors and the coast, two miles away. The building retains original features—oak panelling, exposed stone, beamed ceilings—and sits opposite the ruins of Kilton Castle. Two sitting rooms occupy the ground floor, one with an open fire and window seats overlooking the walled garden; a second reception room, kitchen, larder and shower room complete the layout. Five bedrooms sleep ten: two kingsize on the first floor, four singles split between the second floor and first, plus a family bathroom and separate toilet.
The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and space to cook for a large group. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with initial fuel for the open fire. Ten parking spaces sit on the property. The substantial lawned garden, with patio and furniture, attracts woodpeckers, finches and other birds throughout the year; note there are level changes in the grounds. One well-behaved pet stays free. Stonehouse Bakery is nearby for provisions. The North York Moors and Danby village—seven miles away in the Esk Valley—are within easy reach, while the coast at Saltburn offers beaches and seaside attractions.

A wonderful spot - close to some great walks along the moor and only 30mins from Whitby. I would recommend visiting Danby tea shop while here and trying any of the local fish and chips.
