Hollingworth Lake sits ten minutes' drive away, a working water body ringed by cafes and spots for fishing or paddling. The Pennine hills begin at your front door. Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, both within easy reach by car, offer independent shops and galleries. The Rochdale Pioneers Museum documents the origins of the modern co-operative movement if you want something indoors on a wet afternoon.
The Stables is a converted stone building on one level, with two bedrooms—a kingsize and a twin—sharing a walk-in shower room. Downstairs, an open-plan living space has a wood burner, a smart TV and countryside views; the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with a dishwasher, electric oven and hob. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are all covered. Initial fuel for the burner comes with it. Outside, a private hot tub takes four, and there is garden seating and parking for two cars. The property is non-smoking.
This suits couples and small groups wanting a base for exploring the valley, with somewhere to soak and warm up once you come back in from walking.

The Stables is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It's tastefully decorated and furnished and has a luxurious feel to it. Lovely peaceful surroundings. The king sized bed was the comfiest we've ever slept in! The hot tub is great, just what was needed after a busy day out in Manchester. Joanne the host is brilliant, a last minute request for a travel cot was no problem and her communication is excellent. We wish we had booked for the whole week as we didn't want to leave after staying just for the weekend!!

Absolutely brilliant! The Scenery lends itself to an idyllic atmosphere in this beautiful, immaculate, pristine holiday home. Fully equipped with a hot tub, and everything necessary for a break. Set back on a hillside, it offers privacy and scenic walks on the canal. Great for families, & Romantic breaks for couples. And a great spot for Artists/Writers, who need time away from the City to concentrate on their Creativity. The Hosts are very accommodating, even having prosecco on ice, and chocolates when we arrived. Highly recommended. Thank You to the lovely hosts

This is a fabulous hidden gem on the Lancashire and Yorkshire border. Only a 5-10 minute drive from both Littleborough and Todmorden. The rooms are bright, spacious, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Oh and the hot tub is bliss! It's just what you need to wind down during your holiday. The views are amazing too. Joanne and John are kind and helpful hosts, 10/10 for me!
