About Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel and Spa
Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel and Spa is a substantial three-floor property on Manchester Road in Rochdale, built around a spa and leisure offering that gives it a more resort-like feel than the average town hotel. With 81 rooms, it has the scale to handle everything from a quiet overnight stop to a wedding party, and free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, and family and accessible options are available alongside the standard doubles. Guests have access to an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa/sauna facilities, plus a restaurant and bar on site, a snack bar, room service and outdoor seating in the garden. For those working or celebrating, there are meeting rooms and a dedicated wedding venue, backed up by business services and laundry facilities.
The setting puts guests within reach of Hollingworth Lake and the wider Pennines, good territory for walking or simply taking in the scenery, while a golf course, pubs, restaurants and other entertainment are all nearby. It suits visitors who want a comfortable base with proper leisure facilities rather than a stop-gap room for the night.
Guests mention this hotel offers excellent spa facilities, including a warm swimming pool, various steam rooms, and an indoor/outdoor jacuzzi with views. They also highlight the delicious food, clean and spacious rooms, and the friendly, helpful staff.
Some reviews mention the rooms can be neglected.
