The Stables

The Stables is a converted property sleeping two in rural Rutland, between Oakham and Melton Mowbray. It's designed as a complete retreat: ground floor open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, then a first-floor bedroom with en-suite shower. One dog stays free of charge and can use the enclosed garden, which has a step down to reach it. Private parking for one car is on site, and smoking is not permitted.

The kitchen is properly fitted out with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. The bedroom holds a super king bed. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included in your stay.

Oakham is roughly 4 miles away, offering independent shops, cafés and restaurants alongside a castle and museum. Melton Mowbray, also about 4 miles off, has its own strong food identity and market-town appeal. Both towns sit on rail routes; Oakham station connects to Birmingham, Leicester, London and Cambridge. Rutland Water lies within easy reach for walks and water activities.
