Voe House
Shetland Islands
Voe House spreads across three floors with bedrooms arranged to suit different group sizes. Downstairs, the living and dining rooms open onto a kitchen equipped for cooking at scale—two ovens, two hobs, two dishwashers and two fridges mean large gatherings can feed themselves without bottlenecking. A utility room houses two washing machines and two tumble dryers. Each of the seven bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom; rooms range from doubles and four-posters to a triple single and a zip-and-link bed that splits into two singles on request.
The main draw beyond sleeping capacity is the private spa block. A hot tub for six sits alongside a steam room, and the house provides robes and slippers for guests. Parking accommodates ten cars, and the two acres of ground give a sense of space. Voe itself is a small village on Shetland's north mainland, eighteen miles from Lerwick. The location trades convenience for something quieter—rolling hills, coastal edges and genuinely remote scenery are the immediate surroundings. Electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are all included. No smoking indoors.
