Dingle Cottage
Shropshire
Dingle Cottage sits in the Clun Valley, where rolling countryside opens up around you and the night sky stays impressively dark. The cottage is a standalone annexe with its own entrance and parking, set among fields and wildflower garden—the kind of place where you can step outside and immediately feel remote. A pub lies within a mile, and the nearby towns of Ludlow, Bishops Castle and Knighton are within reach for a day out, but the real draw is staying put among the walks that start from your doorstep.
The layout spreads across three floors. Ground floor holds the kitchen, where you can cook properly—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave—or keep things simple. The living and dining room sits on the first floor, open-plan and filled with natural light, with a woodburner for cool evenings and a smart TV for when you want one. The bedroom and shower room are on the top floor; the bedroom has a kingsize bed plus a day bed, so it sleeps three. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. One dog can stay free, though the owners ask they're kept on a lead in this sheep country; the garden has room to explore.
The cottage suits couples wanting to disappear, or a small family looking for peace rather than attractions. Check-in is after 3pm and checkout before 10am. Smoking is not permitted.
