Shepherds Lodge occupies a 17th-century stone building on a working farm in the Shropshire countryside. Originally built as a dairy, the structure has been converted into a single-bedroom base for two people. Everything is on the ground floor: a living and dining space, a kitchen with electric cooking, a double bedroom, and a shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all provided, along with a washing machine and tumble dryer shared with other properties on site.
The lodge opens onto a large enclosed garden with seating and furniture, and there is parking for two cars on the farm. The setting is in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, positioned in a valley with views toward the Wrekin. No smoking is permitted. From here, Shrewsbury town centre is reachable for shopping and dining, while more distant attractions include Ironbridge Gorge, Wroxeter Roman City, four National Trust properties within an hour's drive, and the market towns of Ludlow and Much Wenlock.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding day at Morrells Wood Farm last month. We had the best day, everything ran so smoothly. The venue is stunning, the perfect rustic setting we always wanted. The staff were great and everyone commented how amazing the mezze menu was. The owners Derek and Sue are really lovely people and were so accommodating. We wish we could do the day all over again! Also a thank you to Abi, who helped us through the planning process and getting everything organised.

If you want to completely switch off and relax whilst soaking up nature... this is the place for you! We stayed in the Tree House Lodge and were so cosy and comfortable there it was difficult to tear ourselves away to go and visit the beautiful places close by

Our daughter has just been married at Morrells Wood Farm and what an amazing day it was, from the beautiful cosy feeling accomodation, to the service from Derek & Sue in making sure we had the perfect day. Special thanks to them also as my father was taken ill at the end of the ceremony and they were so caring with him and looked after him until his illness passed. The amazing views of the Wrekin helped in ensuring the photographs were perfect and that we had the option of the wedding being held outside, the flexibility they offered enabled all to be set up the evening before as the sun was going to be shining for the weekend. Derek & Sue also made sure that all of the people staying over were accomodated as some had mobility issues, so they helped massively in ensuring they were nearest to the wedding area. Thanks to both for making our day so special and one to cherish.. We can truly say this is the perfect place to celebrate any special occasion.

A wonderful place to stay for our friend's wedding. A great view up to the Wrekin, lovely surroundings, a good pub down the lane and a comfy bed. Ticks in all the boxes!
