The Grooms Cottage

Bishops Castle sits in the heart of rural Shropshire, surrounded by countryside that draws walkers and cyclists throughout the year. The market town itself has a working high street with independent shops, several pubs and restaurants, and a reputation for food. The Grooms Cottage is a single-storey property on the edge of this landscape, backing onto an enclosed garden with a direct gate to the local pub—useful if you want an evening out without the car.

Inside, the cottage has one double bedroom and a shower room, with a combined living and dining space that opens into a kitchen equipped for self-catering. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are provided. There is parking for two cars on the grounds. It sleeps two guests only. The cottage is non-smoking.

The location works for quiet breaks in accessible countryside, or as a base to explore further—Clun, Montgomery and Ludlow are all within reach. If you need more space, the cottage next door accommodates four and can be booked alongside this one.
