About Bridge House Campsite
Pizza, dales and cask ale... what a winning combo. Get stuck into the lot from peaceful and rural Bridge House Campsite in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This lovely little spot, set around a 19th-century farmhouse owned by generations of the same family since 1883, has its own pizzeria (Cecilia's) serving Thursday to Sunday evenings, and sits almost opposite the 400-year-old Fox and Hounds pub – a few minutes' potter for fine cask ales and hearty pub grub.
You may then care to burn some of that off. Sorted, as the site is in a popular place for Yorkshire Dales hikes, with the Dales Way and several other trails accessible from nearby Starbotton village. Further afield, Skipton is half an hour's drive south, Harrogate within an hour, and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty 45 minutes away.
Pitches are grass, tent-only, and kept to a tiny handful. Amenities are simple – water tap, flushing toilet, and a portable shower in a shaded corner – but with that spectacular scenery and those pizzas waiting, who's complaining?

Fabulous back to basics campsite. Gorgeous little area, pub, tearooms and a shop all a small walk away. Ben is so lovely! Fantastic host. Had the best little weekend thankyou!

A basic campsite, but in a beautiful location. The little river has a deep pool for swimming if you are brave enough! There is a coffee shop beside the campsite.

Bridge House Campsite was a great find. We originally found it on Pitchup and got Ben’s number from the tea room — he was very accommodating and easy to deal with. The site itself has three fields by a stream, a lovely tea room serving nice food, and clean, well-kept facilities. At £20 a night, it was excellent value.
