Very quite holiday park, the caravan accommodation was clean, a good size with ensuite toilet in main bedroom ( puffin 6) model , the caravan lacked any extras like small tables , television was small as well.,but other than that caravan was comfortable and all other mod cons you need, and the caravans are on top of each other. As for the park it has an outdoor swimming pool perfect for 2026 weather, and a kids playground area. The reception and eating and drink area look a bit dated could do with a spruce up. To get burnham sea front and town is about a 15-20 min leisurely walk. I would reccomend for a short quite break .

Toilet flush was a nightmare needed replacing ,very basic caravan ,no seating outside of caravan to relax ,why would you close pool on hot days ,it closes on a Monday and Friday plus staff seemed to do whatever ever they chose to do not much entertainment on for children or adults plus they must work for a good owner/manager as most of the workers was dringing Thatchers during work hours as we just got back from a week away at lakeside ,owner you need to sort the park out as it was great when we came a few years ago,the clubhouse was always full back then but now hardly anyone in there and there bingo I think is a rip off yes people was in to play that but the winnings was not received by the people that played so where was some of the bingo money going and plus we seen them putting winnings in brown evolopes ages before bingo started I also had a few owners who have caravans on site and said not the same even when took over they wasn't told about what will and won't happen, but I was with family so we did enjoy going in to burnham town and made our own fun ,also buses need to be more often we waited an hour for a bus but when turned up didn't stop as it was full please use double deckers in main holiday time not single buses ,so we didn't get in to brean ,

We stayed at lakeside for 4 nights. We had a pet friendly caravan, when we got in the caravan it was clean and tidy and spelt of bleach, as they had not long finished cleaning it(not like wet dog like some other people had put). The club house is ok, food and drinks was good. Bingo was good and we even had 3 wins. The entertainment is ok. The site was clean and tidy and everyone was friendly. The fishing pool is very good. Some very nice fish in there but they do like the far tree line so a bait boat is very much needed or a very good cast. Overall we had a very good 4 nights and we will be returning.

I used to be a tenant on Lakeside for over 20 years and we spent a lot of childhood and early 20s on the park. The fishing has improved dramatically and I love what has been done there, but everywhere else feels like it has had the heart and soul ripped out of it. We've just had a week of 22-32 degree weather in Whitson week. Why on earth would the pool not be open? This was not mentioned when I was booking, despite me saying I was taking our 3 kids away. The kids play area was okay but poorly maintained, with weeds growing through and the sand pit had hardly any sand left in it. The Clubhouse and arcade have been painted in a shade of depression grey and all the personality it once had has gone. Skye is an amazing singer and brightened up what was otherwise a very sad and empty weekend in there. In years gone by, you wouldn't be able to find a seat after 6.30pm. I appreciate times are tough and there isn't the trade our seaside towns once had, but when guests get there you need to do much more to encourage them to spend on site and return in months/years to come. The entertainment schedule felt like it was on a shoestring budget, with very little for the kids to do. Putting a film on the TV for 2 hours (on a Friday evening) and claiming it as part of your entertainment schedule is criminal in half term. The site felt absolutely devoid of life and it was heartbreaking to see, especially as a member of a family who has their most fond family memories at Lakeside. We used to book 8/10/12 caravans and at one time had 5 caravans on the site as tenants. Add to all of this that our booking was for 3 kids and 1 adult, and I only got a double sheet and one single, just added to the disappointment. Skye was brilliant, well done to those who have worked on the lake and stocking it with a decent head of fish, but there is a LOT of work to do to the clubhouse and ents to rediscover Lakeside's glory days. I dare say if nothing changes then return customers will be fewer and fewer, which I hate the thought of. In a time where competition (and survival) are more pressured than ever, you have to go the extra mile to impress and keep those who do visit, before they're gone for good.
