Feltham’s Farm - The Organic Cabin
Somerset

Feltham's Farm sits on 22 acres where pigs, sheep, hens and ducks roam, and the owners run an award-winning cheese operation. The Organic Cabin occupies its own corner of this working landscape, grounded on one level with polished concrete floors and underfloor heating throughout. You get two double bedrooms, a shower room, and an open-plan kitchen and living space that handles cooking from scratch or keeping things simple. One dog is welcome at no extra cost, though it must stay on a lead given the farm animals nearby.
The cabin comes with Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels included, plus a welcome pack of local eggs, cider and dairy. A nature trail runs across the property, ideal for walking before or after exploring what's within reach: Templecombe and its surroundings sit in the Blackmore Vale, quiet Somerset countryside that draws people for hiking and village pubs rather than theme parks or beaches. The farm itself offers shared use of a garden with barbecue, a natural rainwater pool (4 metres deep in the middle, open year-round), a barn with table tennis, and a children's play area. This is a Dark Sky area with minimal light pollution, so clear nights are genuinely dark.
Smoking is not permitted. Parking for one car is on site, and an electric vehicle charging point is available if needed.

We spent an afternoon with Penny on Farm Sunday 2026, which was fun, informative and inspiring. The cheese tasting was incredible, really enjoyed the Lucky Marcel and the fresh cheese. Walking and talking around the farm, meeting the pigs and sheep followed by a dip in rainwater pool was a memorable visit. Thank you Penny for a great experience.

We had an amazing stay at Feltham’s Farm - not only do they make wonderful cheese that you receive as a welcome gift, but it’s a great place to stay for families. With our three kids we fed the pigs (and piglets - a favourite morning ritual was to say hello and count all ten of them!) and the sheep, learned about cheese making and farm life in beautiful Somerset. We enjoyed delicious fresh cow’s milk too. Penny and Marcus couldn’t have made us feel more welcome or at home. Plenty to do in the area for kids from the Fleet Air Arm museum to Haynes Motor Museum as well as plenty of walks and castles and pretty historic villages to explore - and a fabulous playground in nearby Wincanton. We enjoyed exploring the grounds and playing on the swings and slides rather a lot too! Highly recommended and we hope to come back soon!

Wow wow wow ! Had a blast at Felthams farm - such a treat to have a cheese tasting and farm tour by Penelope. Her and Marcus have a lovely property and we’re so welcoming . A friend and I celebrated our 30th birthday and this was the groups highlight . Fully recommend , thank you both

We had a great time staying at the cottage and exploring the farm. The cottage itself was very clean and tidy equipped with all the utencils we needed for our stay. The pond takes the farm/cottage to a whole new level. Penny and her husband were great hosts, would 100% recommend.
