Stone Cottage

Wedmore sits in the heart of Somerset's countryside, surrounded by the kind of landscape that draws people to the county—rolling fields, nearby Cheddar, and close enough to Wells and Glastonbury for day trips. Stone Cottage, a recently renovated property here, makes a solid base for exploring it all. The whole place is yours alone, sleeping six across three bedrooms, two with ensuite showers and one galleried room upstairs reached by a steep staircase (steep enough that it's not practical for young children). One dog is welcome, though sheep farming nearby means they need to stay on a lead.

Downstairs opens into a combined living and dining space with a woodburner, Smart TV, and a table for six. The kitchen handles proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and the usual appliances—plus a coffee machine and washing machine. A kingsize bedroom with an ensuite is on the ground floor; the second bedroom has two 2ft 6in singles that can be zipped into a kingsize bed if needed, also with an ensuite. The third bedroom upstairs has two 3ft single beds. Underfloor heating and an air source heat pump keep the place warm. Wifi, electricity, bed linen, towels and initial firewood are all included. Outside, there's a lawned garden with patio and seating, parking for three cars, and an electric vehicle charging point if you need it.
