About Orchard View Wedmore
Tucked just outside Theale in the Somerset Levels, Orchard View Wedmore is a peaceful, no-frills site ideal for exploring Wedmore and the surrounding countryside. The eight pitches—split between electric and non-electric grass—are set in relaxed grounds where campfires are welcomed, giving evenings a proper outdoorsy feel. Facilities cover the basics (showers, toilets, drinking water), and dogs are allowed throughout.
It's very much a traditional campsite rather than a polished glamping retreat, so don't expect bells and whistles—there's no WiFi, for instance—but that simplicity suits those after a quiet, unfussy base. Families appreciate the friendly vibe, and the location puts you within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, and the wetland trails that criss-cross the Levels.

Stayed here for a few nights, the owners Reggie and Marie were amazing, the cleanliness of the showers and toilets were second to none never mind the star fish shower mat which makes you feel like your at the seaside , so peaceful and so many stars out due to the lack of light pollution , not to mention the sounds of the different animals, so many places local to visit including cheddar which was fantastic too, will definitely be coming back again at some point.

We brought our small D of E group to stay for one night and I was really impressed with this site. The owners took a lot of time to explain everything to us. Our kids enjoyed seeing the horse and the run away sheep was good too! The toilet were spotless and the showers looked great. We were late leaving but didn't feel any pressure from the owners to hurry. Planning to change our D of E location to the Mendips so we can use this campsite again. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Orchard View is a lovely campsite. Peaceful and tranquil in the Somerset countryside. This is a well kept site and there are very clean toilets and showers. Not my first visit; visited with a group of friends, the location and the friendly owners will keep us coming back. Lovely to see the horses and the odd sheep! Hope to see you again next year.

Clean campsite with really friendly owners and good facilities. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to book. We stayed as a family with 2 young children and a dog, we felt very welcomed. Thank you for a lovely stay
