The Quarry Stables

Cheddar draws visitors for Cheddar Gorge's dramatic cliffs and cave systems, but the town itself has a quieter appeal—local shops, restaurants and pubs sit within walking distance. The Quarry Stables gives you a base to explore both the gorge and the wider Mendip Hills, Wookey Hole, and the Somerset Levels beyond, or simply settle into village life.

The cottage spreads across two floors with three bedrooms—a super kingsize, a kingsize and a three-quarter double—and two bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower. Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining area centres on a wood burner; there's a snug, utility room for outdoor kit, and a separate toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking: electric oven, gas hob, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher and coffee machine. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are all included, along with initial fuel for the burner.

Outside, an enclosed front garden with patio and courtyard gives you space to sit, with a firepit, summerhouse and barbecue. Private parking fits three cars. One dog stays free. The property is non-smoking. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.
