Thornes Farm Cottage works well for families, groups of friends or two couples sharing. The property occupies its own space on a working farm at the foot of the Quantock Hills, so there's real countryside around you—you might see cattle being brought in, horses in the fields, or depending on the season, newborn lambs and calves. The owners can arrange stabling if you're bringing horses.
Ground-floor layout means no stairs to navigate. Two king bedrooms and one twin sleep six; the bathroom has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. French doors from the living room open onto a garden with sitting areas and a barbecue; there's also a smaller patio off the rear. The woodburner has initial fuel provided, and the essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered. One dog or cat stays free. Smoking is not permitted inside. Parking for two cars is on site, and there's bike storage if you want to explore locally.

What guests say
Stayed for a weekend for my 40th and Nigel and Katherine made the weekend and absolute pleasure to stay that I came back with my family for a week a few months later and made it even better. Property is clean and a joy to stay in and will be booking again for next year.
