Tor Path Cottage

Somerset

Tor Path Cottage is a Victorian terrace spread across three floors in Glastonbury town centre. The building has genuine character—wood burner in the dining room, a separate sitting room with smart TV, and an attic bedroom tucked under the eaves with sloped ceilings and charm. The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven for proper cooking, and the bathroom is on the ground floor with a bath and shower. Steep stairs lead up to the top floor, which is best suited to those comfortable with narrow flights.

Three bedrooms sleep six: two doubles (one ground-floor adjacent to the bathroom, one on the top floor) and a bunk room with two single beds. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are included, along with the initial fuel for the wood burner. An enclosed garden with patio and seating looks out from the back; parking is on the road outside. One pub sits within a mile's walk. The cottage suits families and groups, though those needing accessibility should know the top-floor bedroom requires climbing steep stairs, and a single bathroom serves the whole property.

Glastonbury Tor is half an hour away on foot via one of the main walking routes, and the High Street is at the top of the road. The town itself draws visitors for its history and legends, with the Abbey ruins and independent shops clustered nearby. Cheddar Gorge, Wells and Bath are all within reach for day trips. No smoking inside.
