Higher Poulston sits deep in South Devon countryside, reached via quiet single-track lanes, yet the beaches and market towns of South Hams are within easy driving distance. Wisteria House occupies its own acre of grounds, offering the seclusion of rural living without isolation.
The property sleeps 20 across nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Ground floor has four bedrooms, an open-plan living and dining space with a woodburner, and a kitchen equipped for cooking at scale with two electric cookers and a dishwasher. Upstairs, five more bedrooms include three with balconies overlooking the grounds. Most bedrooms have ensuite showers; additional bathrooms serve the rest. Laundry facilities, wi-fi, heating and bed linen are all included. The house suits families and groups rather than couples.
Beyond the main building, the grounds contain a heated indoor swimming pool (12.4m by 6.7m), a separate leisure complex with pool table, table tennis and an indoor games room, a children's play area, a tennis court, and a double barbecue with garden furniture. On-site parking is available. No smoking throughout.

I’m here to write our review on this fabulous property as our family are looking to return to wisteria house. We’ve stayed twice before and for us, it’s perfect. Enough space for us all (we fill the house!) and plenty of facilities for everyone; enough bathrooms, bedrooms and who doesn’t love double of all kitchen appliances?! We tell everyone about this house if anyone is looking for a group break away and I know people have booked to stay here too. We look forward to returning - if there’s any availability!

We ad an absolutely fabulous pre Christmas break. The house is wonderful and was beautifully dressed for Christmas. Rose and Fiona couldn't have been any more attentive to our needs. The sports facilities and pool were the iciing on the cake!

Fabulous place for a family party. The pool is warm and the sport facilities are excellent. The rooms are huge and plenty of beds. Also the host is nearby if there's any issues.

We stayed in Wisteria House, what a fabulous place. There were 19 of us and we had a wonderful time. The swimming pool was a treat - lovely and warm. Thank you for the lovely victoria sponge on our arrival.
