The Hollies Kessingland Holiday Resort

Just gad a glorious weekend here in our motorhome friendly staff showed us our pitch, and was very helpful. We managed to walk to the beach down the 90 steps, my husband with his walking stick and me with a backpack and a 1 year old King charles cavalier well worth it, had a paddle in the sea. Toilets and showers good, and very clean. Fush a d chips on site were really tasty. Would go back again. My one gripe is the bins near us were overflowing, could do with more bins.

Great location just a very short walk to the beach directly from the campsite. Very clean facilities, fish and chips on site and friendly, helpful staff. Ample room for my campervan on hard standing and plenty of space for an awning on the accompanying grass pitch. Very nice site, reasonably priced. I hope to stay again - Recommended

Great campsite. Clean facilities and plenty of them. Dog friendly. Short walk to the beach and coastal path with plenty of buses to wherever you want to go. The camp wardens are absolutely lovely and helpful. For a big site people respect the quiet times very well. The patches are nice and big, very well kept. I spoke to some regulars as it was our first visit and they had the same things to say after returning several times. There's fish and chips, a lovely coffee kiosk and the ice cream man visits in the afternoon. Yes we loved it. Hayley and Paul.

It is genuinely a shame to have to give this campsite only two stars, as it does have many positive qualities. The facilities themselves are well maintained, with clean showers and toilets, and the location is undeniably appealing, with a beach nearby and convenient on-site options such as fish and chips. On the surface, it has all the elements needed for an enjoyable stay. However, for both myself and the group I was with, the overall experience was significantly impacted by the way we were spoken to, which has unfortunately clouded the positives. On our first evening (a Friday night), a man who identified himself as the “warden” drove directly onto our camping area and approached us in what can only be described as an unnecessarily aggressive and confrontational manner. He demanded that we immediately lower our volume, stating that we would otherwise have to pack up and leave. This was not only surprising but also confusing, as it was still approximately 30 minutes before the designated “quiet time” he referenced. We fully respect the need for campsite rules and consideration for fellow guests, and we would have been more than willing to reduce any noise had the matter been raised in a courteous and reasonable way. This was also the first time anything had been brought to our attention. Instead, the tone and approach taken left us feeling uncomfortable and unfairly targeted as paying customers. To add to the inconsistency, the warden then drove off while aggressively revving his engine, which felt somewhat contradictory given his prior concerns about noise levels. Ultimately, while the campsite itself has a great deal to offer in terms of facilities and location, customer service and the manner in which guests are treated are fundamental to the overall experience. Unfortunately, in this instance, that aspect fell well below expectations. As a result, despite the otherwise pleasant setting, we would not choose to return
