About Rose and Crown
Set around a traditional pub in the Lincolnshire fens, Rose and Crown offers families a lively, sociable stopover with plenty to keep younger campers entertained. The huge outdoor play area and swimming pool are real draws in warmer months, while the pub itself serves up hearty food in a welcoming atmosphere - perfect after a day exploring the Wash coast or the quiet villages nearby. Friendly staff and clean facilities earn consistent praise, and dogs are welcome across the site.
Fair warning: the pub buzz means it can get noisy, especially at weekends, so light sleepers might want to pitch toward the quieter edges. You'll find a good mix of grass and hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up, plus WiFi throughout and year-round opening for off-season explorers.

What visitors say
This campsite exceeded our expectations. After reading some very negative reviews we were worried about the site, however the site was fairly quiet, there was a huge play area for kids, our fellow campers were all friendly as were the bar staff. Facilities were clean and tidy, everything you needed. One of the locals had had a few too many in the pub and tried to cause some trouble with one of the campers but the lady running the bar quickly put it to bed along with some other locals who clearly care about the reputation of the pub and campsite. Overall we had a great stay.

Came for a camping trip this week on my own with my babies. NEVER AGAIN. Full of people getting absolutely hammered. Got told there’s ‘quiet time’ past 11pm which I thought was great. Phoned up to complain (never ever done this before on a site) because a family were screaming shouting and fighting and shouting a load of abuse at another family because they asked them to quiten down and I got told to pack up and P off!! And got told ‘I’m as bad for playing music’. (We have played no music at all?!) and just got abuse off the staff on the phone for complaining! I think they obviously mixed us up with someone else, as we’ve been quietly keeping ourselves to ourselves all evening as we have young kids. Lay in my tent right now not feeling safe at all. If I could pack up and ‘P off’ in the dark with 2 little ones I absolutely would. Can’t believe a member of staff actually swore at us on the phone and asked US to leave, because we asked them to assist us. Also.. toilets filthy, the swimming pool was disgusting and full of drunk adults pushing each other in on top of kids, the playground was a massive hazard. An absolute waste of money and if I could give zero stars I would

i have quite a lot to say about this place. not just bad things. im not here to try and pit this place down im here to tell the truth so the owners can make their campsite/caravan site and pub a better place. the pub is okay, the toilets in the pub are kept clean until all the kids come trotting in with their muddy feet and doesn't get cleaned up like 5 minutes before closing time. all the staff are quite rude and intimidating. there is no first aid kit around so if someone hurt themselves it would be your responsibility to provide plasters bandages etc.. quite silly for a pub that has lots of areas were you can hurt yourself. the pool was great but it looked like someone had chucked 5 pints of milk in it. i dont know if they clean it or if they just put a cover on it after closing time and hope for it to be clean after but they need to clean their pool. the toilets. i have a lot to say about this. do you guys have cleaners? because everytime i go in that toilet theres either a log of poo on the floor or wee everywere. i do report this but its like you guys dont do anything about it because someone else ends up cleaning it up which is your guests. i think you need more cleaners and some more staff which are not intimidating because the toilet facilities are disgusting. and i dont see the point of having to scan a card to go to the toilet. the park is decent its amazing for kids to play at its also good aswell because its next to the pool so double the fun. the camping area was actually good no problems with that. the showers i didnt even use i had to go to my friends house round the corner to use it because what do you mean i put £1 and the showers didnt even work hut yeah thats my review not a really good place to stay at
