What visitors say

Just had a 24 hour stay this weekend at Moddershall Oaks. In General we were very impressed with most things, including the politeness of staff, quality of the food and drinks, and in general a very feel good vibe. A few niggles that would have just turned a 9/10 stay into a 10/10 would be the following - Paying £440 for the ‘Great Oak’ Honeymoon pod is fine, but when requesting a double bed, yet two singles were pushed together and creating a deep groove during the night within the bed isn’t great. But in general the pod was beautiful and clean. Drinks were great at the complex, however Latte Coffees were lukewarm, these want to be hot as you’d expect. Also just want to say especially how great the waiting and service staff were in the Oak House restaurant. All really polite, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and all smiling. They all worked long shifts as-well, so credit to you all. In General, we would absolutely visit again and we really enjoyed our stay. We felt we got value for money. Thanks Callum

We visited in May 2026 and booked a full spa day from 9.30am to 5.30pm. Our 50-minute treatment was scheduled for 10.30am, dinner for 12pm, and we had also paid extra for a private jacuzzi experience at 3pm with strawberries, brownies, and prosecco. The new registration system took around 20 minutes, as we had to log in and register while dealing with poor signal and technical issues, followed by another wait for robes and towels. By the time we reached the changing room it was already 10.10am, and once we were ready, we had to go straight to the treatment area, so there was no chance to relax beforehand. The massage was average, and none of the three of us felt it stood out. We finished at about 11.25am, but with no time to enjoy the facilities before lunch and not wanting to eat while wet and sweaty, we ended up waiting around outside. We went to the restaurant at 11.50am because we were bored and frustrated, only to be told we were early and should wait upstairs until called. By 12.05pm, after more waiting, we went back down. The meal itself was lovely: fresh, tasty, and generous, and the waitress did apologise for the delay in being served and receiving the food. We could not use the facilities until 1.27pm. The venue was much busier than usual, with towels left across loungers and no staff clearing them despite this being expected. Our private jacuzzi was also being used by guests who had not paid for it, although a member of the bar staff noticed and addressed it. Moddershall usually offers a personal touch that sets it apart, so I can only assume they were short-staffed that day. The private jacuzzi itself was excellent—hot, relaxing, and well worth the extra cost—and the brownies and fresh strawberries were a lovely finishing touch. One concern was a dog standing on the edge of the larger jacuzzi with its owner nearby. Staff did not seem confident addressing the situation and appeared to be waiting for management, but in my view, they should have stepped in sooner. This was my tenth visit, and it is still a place I love. The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. I have visited when weddings were taking place, but this time it felt especially busy. If they plan to allow more people to use the facilities, they may need to expand the space or add more amenities in future. Even so, I will return because it is still a great place overall. Wished I had taken more photographs, but with it being very busy I didn't want to take photographs of others.

As a regular at moddershall Oakes/ Made wellness centre I just have to share that there are certain staff that make this place feel like no other experience you can get. They truly care about the customers and always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and valued. Julie, Emma and Nicci absolutely make the place and are 100% the most fantastic staff you could wish for! Big shout as well to the wonderful fitness instructors at made Jordan, Sarah, Adam and Holly who again throw in extra touches that personalise the experience and motivate you to do more. A huge thank you to everyone

Had a wonderful stay at Moddershall Oaks for my birthday. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The spa itself had great facilities and wasn't too packed like some of them are. The treatment was very relaxing and the robes were big which, again is not always the case! One point to note is they don't provide footwear for the spa but as they let us know this, we came prepared so it wasn't an issue. The room was spacious and comfortable; the only negative I could say was the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking but this is personal preference. By far the best thing about the stay was the food. Absolutely outstanding. I will definitely be back for another special occasion!
