The Staffordshire Moorlands draws walkers and explorers year-round, surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within reach of the Peak District. White Chimnies – Lake Cottage sits on a small estate centred around a fishing lake, where the grounds include a heated outdoor hot tub, an indoor swimming pool available for 90-minute sessions, and a sauna shared among guests.
The cottage itself is single-storey and built from stone, with everything on ground level. You get a combined living and dining space with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for cooking, and a bedroom with a double bed. The ensuite has an underfloor heated shower. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; logs for the woodburner are included in your stay. Parking is available for two cars, and there is a welcome pack on arrival.
Two people can book the whole property to themselves. The cottage does not permit smoking. Check-in is after 17:00 and checkout before 09:00.

Have literally just got back from this gem of a place ,Zeta is one hell of a host and nothing was too much trouble for her we both thought we had known her for years the way she makes you feel.The property is gorgeous,beds comfortable and the icing on the cake the pool and whole spa area I will most probably regret this as it will become so popular she won't be able to fit us in again but we are planning our next trip back very shortly,thank you Zeta for a great short stay with lots of thanks Pete and Carol

After our 100% perfect stay at White Chimnies, we had to write this review. The views from the exceptional cottage are idyllic. The lake provided contentment & a great catch. The pool, spa & steam room did not disappoint. All this topped off by our host, Zeta, who works so hard to make her guests feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble & we feel like we have made a new friend. Another long weekend was booked before we left.

We have stayed at White Chimnies 3 times in the last 6 months, that's how much we enjoy being there. Everything about the cottages, the facilities, the area, is just superb. Perfectly situated for exploring the Peak District, so many great hikes. The cottages ooze luxury and cosiness at the same time and everything is there that you need really. Kitchens in the cottages are the best equipped ive ever known from holiday accommodation. Beds are super comfy. And Zeta is fab too. I've never been one for return visits to the same hotel or holiday home.........until White Chimnies that is. I highly recommend 👌
