Manor Farm Barns - Jumbo’s Stable

Stratford-on-Avon

View on Google Maps

Jumbo's Stable sits on a mixed working farm six miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, where arable fields, sheep and poultry give way to open countryside crossed by established public footpaths. The nearby villages of Newbold and Alderminster are within walking distance, each with a pub and a farm shop stocking local food and produce.

This is a ground-floor barn conversion with a king bed and en-suite bathroom in one bedroom, two single beds and a shower room in the other. The living space includes a woodburner, TV and a kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. An enclosed gravel patio with garden furniture opens onto the garden; bike storage is available. Electricity, bed linen, towels and heating are included. Parking for three cars is on site. No smoking.

Stratford-upon-Avon's Shakespeare sites, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the market town's shops are accessible for day trips. The location suits walkers, families and anyone wanting a quieter base with countryside access rather than staying in town.

We had a weekend stay here with family. The property was excellent. Everything you needed was provided, and most importantly, the beds were extremely comfortable. We were placed perfectly for visiting Stratford, Warwick, and the Cotswolds. One recommendation can you put a little sign at the bottom of the drive diverting people to the properties. We drove around for 10 minutes trying to find the accommodation. Still, I happily recommend a stay here. 👌

Be very careful when booking this property as the owners will cancel at short notice. We booked The Old Workshop in September 2022 for a trip in February 2023. The owners cancelled our booking with just 4 weeks to go leaving us to try and find a property, in half term week, that could accommodate 7 persons. They said they needed it for their own use yet took 4 and a half months to let us know. Why didn’t they realise at the time of our booking! Maybe they didn’t need it then? They seem to have little regard for their actions and the difficulties they cause for their customers. We will certainly not re-book.
