Nettlefold Cottage
Stratford-on-Avon
Photo: Google Maps
Nettlefold Cottage suits couples seeking space to themselves in the countryside. This converted barn sits above the Walton estate, a few miles from Stratford-on-Avon, and has been finished with care: exposed wooden beams run through the open-plan living area, which looks out over fields. The single bedroom and bathroom are all you need for two people, and there is parking on site.
The focal point is the wood-fired hot tub, private to the cottage. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the essentials are covered. Smoking is not permitted. The location works as a base for exploring Shakespeare's county, or simply as a retreat from routine—the Cotswolds and Warwick are within reach if you want to venture out, though many guests find the quiet enough reason to stay put.
