Morgans Hotel
Maritime Quarter, Swansea city centre · Hotel
Boutique hotel in the former Port Authority building, a striking Edwardian landmark in Swansea's Maritime Quarter.
About Morgans Hotel
Morgans occupies the grand former Port Authority headquarters overlooking Swansea Marina, a building whose ornate Edwardian facade and domed corner tower make it one of the most recognisable landmarks in the Maritime Quarter. Inside, the conversion has kept much of the original detailing, from marble floors to high ceilings, while fitting in individually styled rooms across the main building and a neighbouring townhouse annexe.
Rooms range from cosy doubles to larger suites with roll-top baths and views over the marina, and the hotel's restaurant and bar make use of the grand former banking hall on the ground floor. It is a popular choice for a special-occasion stay in the city rather than a budget base, and its location puts the market, museums and station all within easy walking distance.
Being right in the Maritime Quarter also means Mumbles and the start of the seafront promenade are a short walk or cycle away, making Morgans a good compromise between city convenience and proximity to the bay.
