The Farmhouse Retreat

The Farmhouse Retreat is a single-storey cottage on a working farm between Mossley and Stalybridge. You arrive into an open-plan living space with a dining area and kitchen, then a separate bedroom and shower room. The layout is compact and entirely on one level, with a double bed, Smart TV, electric oven, gas hob, microwave and washing machine all provided. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included, and there's gas central heating throughout.

Outside, you have a front garden with seating, parking for two cars and a bike store. The farm is set in the Tame Valley, and the Tame Valley Loop starts at the doorstep—three routes of 3.5, 10 or 18 miles use mostly off-road tracks. A 17th-century country inn is about a mile away. Nearby Swineshaw and Dovestones Reservoir, Stalybridge Country Park and the Peak District are all within reach, and Stalybridge station (two miles) connects to Manchester in 15 minutes. No smoking is permitted in the property.
