What visitors say
Gosford Forest Park continues to solidify its reputation as a premier outdoor destination in Northern Ireland. Spanning 240 hectares of rolling drumlin countryside, the park offers a refined balance between rugged nature and family-centric infrastructure. The highlight remains the 3km woodland play trail, featuring iconic superstructures like the "Fearsome Giant" that engage children’s with multiple playgrounds with slides, swings and more. For the active traveler, the 16km multi-use trail network is excellently maintained, catering to cyclists, runners, and horse riders alike. The All Out Trekking initiative is particularly impressive, ensuring the forest’s beauty is accessible to those with limited mobility via off-road electric vehicles. Food: While there is no formal sit-down restaurant within the park, high-quality catering vans (including Barista Express) are stationed near the main trailhead. They serve artisanal coffee, snacks, ice cream, and hot food. The amenity blocks have been recently updated, featuring clean toilets, showers, and dedicated disabled access. Options range from spacious caravan pitches with electric hookups to cozy glamping pods. Entry is seamless with a £5 daily parking fee (card accepted), granting full access to the deer park and castle exterior views. A visit here is a masterclass in well-managed public recreation.

Very good over mature arboretum, massively under-utilised and signed. Could do with some appreciation of the importance of these trees by the Council with signs, info boards and the like.

Council members are extremely rude. They screamed at us for going down one of the trails. They said it was supposed to be closed but the barrier had been moved so we assumed it was open and the cussed us out for allegedly ripping tape and jumps down. Why would we do that?. Overall very bad experience. (My bike for refrance)

Very nice park to walk and ride the bike. Plenty places to play for kids and explore the nature! Always well organised and clean with plenty of car park spaces! As extra you always have same cafes, snacks and ice cream available to buy.
