What visitors say
This is by far our favourite site to come to usually, and we came this bank holiday weekend with the plan to enquire about a seasonal pitch. Our children absolutely love the huge park, the older ones love the Astro pitch and we all love doing paddle boarding etc on the lake. We make so many memories here, it’s great! First time eating at the Boathouse for us, and we have to say the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable too! The toilets/showers are clean and one of the best we’ve been to which is also a bonus! The only thing that is putting us off having a seasonal pitch, and that is questioning us coming back, it’s the amount of electric bikes flying around in and out of pitches. Our 17 week old puppy was on a lead, and a young lad on a Revvi bike came whizzing through our pitch and hit our dog with his bike. Our children were playing football on the Astro and 4 kids with electric bikes started riding round the pitch saying they wanted to ride their electric bikes on there. Our belongings got ridden over many of times, and one lad rode into someone else’s car. Gutted because other than that, we absolutely love this site and usually recommend to anyone who will listen.

Beautifully landscaped caravan site for touring and statics. Friendly and helpful staff, great bar and food. Very clean shower and toilets. Dog friendly and loads for kids to do, small football pitch, large play area with lots of equipment, lake for kayaks and paddle boards & lake fishing.

Love this place, been going for years but I have lowered my review for one reason… the amount of electric bikes and scooters everywhere. Not trying to come across like a bore, just been for the bank holiday weekend and it was literally like dodge the bike! Needs to be an allocated area or just a ban. Before this last visit, I couldn’t fault this place!

Whilst busy with rows of static caravans, the large holiday park had a good area set aside for motorhomes like us. We had a hardstanding pitch with a view of the lakes, near the excellent new facilities (hotel quality), a water tap and bins. The popular bar/pizzas/games room opened at weekends. Overall the site was very well managed, the friendly staff clearing the lakes of weed with a special aquatic vehicle and also keeping the grass clear of the droppings from the numerous grazing Canada Geese. There was even a good accessory shop at Reception. A bonus for us, and a good reason for being there, were the two largely off-road bike rides available from near the site. A return journey to Lincoln of some 45 miles was largely on NCR1, the Water Rail Trail, a former railway line paved for cycling. In the opposite direction, just under 20 miles each way took us to Boston, where we turned back at the famous Stump after enjoying coffee and cakes at the Boston Lock Café. On a third day, a short walk took us round the lakes, meeting 2 swans with 5 young and passing an impressive children’s play park. One lake was for fishing, while the other offered safe row-boating and swimming.
