About Ketsby Lake Country Retreat

Tucked into the gentle folds of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Ketsby Lake Country Retreat is an adults-only site where the pace naturally slows. Spacious grass pitches (non-electric) ring a spring-fed coarse fishing lake, and the setting—rolling countryside, abundant birdlife, wide skies—delivers on its "wildlife haven" promise. Thoughtfully eco-conscious, the site provides hot showers, accessible toilet blocks and washing-up stations, plus facilities designed with wheelchair users in mind: wide doorways, step-free access and spacious cubicles.

Bikers are warmly welcomed (Cadwell Park Circuit sits 15 minutes away), and dogs can join you year-round, though leads are essential to protect the local fauna. The terrain can be uneven underfoot—gravel and loose mud in places—so sturdy footwear helps. A 15-minute walk brings you to a cash-only country pub serving locally sourced home-cooked fare, while Louth's shops and farmers' market lie a short drive beyond, should you need to stock up between lakeside sunsets.

We spent four days at Tattershall Lakes Country Park and we loved it. What a well thought out park. It is set on several lakes, with stunning surroundings views. The added bonus is that it is next to RAF Coningsby and the sights were just wow! The jets and the aircrafts landing on the Thursday were spectacular. The site is very clean and there are a lot of maps around so you can't get lost. It is also remarkably quiet. We stayed in The Pastures area. The only downside was that the WiFi did not reach this area and this was not explained on the website. All of the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and were able to answer all of our questions. We would have preferred an easier booking system for the facilities on the site, as the app doesn't seem to work properly, but the staff on site were able to make physical bookings so we didn't miss out on anything. I would highly recommend this area for families. It really was good fun!!

We’ve had a fantastic family holiday at Tattershall Lakes. There’s so much to do for all ages, and every activity we tried has been excellent value for money. From axe throwing to the Kids’ Defender Driving experience, the activities were well organised, fun, and never felt rushed. The staff were always patient, encouraging and genuinely wanted everyone to have a great time. A special mention has to go to Rhianna from the entertainment team. She was absolutely exceptional. She took the time to get to know the guests, remembered people, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having fun. Her enthusiasm and energy really made a difference to our holiday. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tattershall Lakes to other families and are already looking forward to coming back.

We have a fantastic holiday there last week 3 adults and a 1 year old, lots to do on site and bits in the surrounding areas too from RAF conningsby to small farms and even the castle. I had never done some of the water sports before and they were all super fun. Thanks to the lifeguard that spent 2 days fishing me out of the river every time I fell of the aqua park and paddle board. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can 😊

Beautiful Location and great facility potential. There are definitely things that could be improved. The service staff upon our arrival seemed extremely busy, we were basically just handed our keys and told roughly were to go. I don't think this was a good approach, we got lost trying to find our caravan and there were no local staff in the nearby area to assist. Why not have a team guiding guests to their caravan and maybe even a brief tour of the available facilities? Opening hours for the pools and some of the attractions made no sense. The weather was fantastic outside and they close the outdoor pool at 5pm? I think they should be able to open this later and maybe do some entertainment or events beside the pool area. Felt like a waste of potential. For the indoor pool same thing, you have to book a timeslot on the app and the Opening hours are also quite short. Caravan itself was good, comfortable beds, good showers and good amenities available. I must say though the caravans were extremely warm during our visit. For a luxury caravan i would have thought they would have installed air conditioning or at tye very least provided some fans. They had a good onsite shop, bars and restaurant. I think they need to improve customer service and staff levels to support the site.
