The Old Toll House
Telford and Wrekin

Telford's industrial past runs deep through the surrounding landscape, and The Old Toll House sits within walking distance of that history. A detached period cottage dating back three centuries, it serves as a self-contained base for exploring the area's museums and riverside walks. One car can park on site, and an enclosed garden with patio provides outdoor space, though the garden includes a pond and some steps.
Inside, you get two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—sleeping four in total, plus a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, the living room and dining room both have Freeview television, and a woodburner (with initial fuel supplied) heats the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with a gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The property is not suitable for smoking.
The cottage has a steep open staircase requiring care, and visitors should be aware of its age and original layout. The Woodbridge Inn sits nearby for food and drink. National Cycle Route 55 runs close by, with hire available in Jackfield, and canoe hire operates from Ironbridge.
