Willow Cottage

Telford and Wrekin

View on Google Maps

You step through the door of Willow Cottage into a ground-floor living room with French doors opening onto a patio. The dining room and kitchen sit nearby, with a separate toilet close by. Upstairs, a single bedroom with a double bed and shower room complete the layout. The cottage sits on the bank of the River Severn, built two centuries ago, and the garden slopes down to a fishing point on the water's edge—a few steps from the lawn. For those who simply want to settle in, a gazebo on the property offers a place to sit with a view downriver.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Bed linen and towels are provided; heating and electricity are included. Two cars can park on site. The cottage is no-smoking.

Willow Cottage sits within the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage area, with the famous iron bridge and its associated museums within walking distance or a short drive. The Jackfield Tile Museum is nearby. Ironbridge itself has restaurants and bars; Telford town centre and its rail station are accessible by bus or taxi. The surrounding countryside lends itself to exploring on foot, and several National Trust properties lie within reach by car or public transport.
