The Bull Pen
Tendring
The Bull Pen opens onto an open-plan living space with everything on one level. A wood burner anchors the living area; the kitchen is fitted for proper cooking with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer; and a kingsize bedroom leads to a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. An external utility room, shared with the owner, has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Wifi and heating are included, along with bed linen, towels and logs for the burner.
The conversion sits on the owner's grounds in Lawford, near the Suffolk and Essex border, with a lawned garden, patio and BBQ facing south. There is a fenced pond 200 yards away. Private parking for one car is on site. The layout suits anyone preferring to avoid stairs.
Dedham is close by, its high street Georgian and lined with restaurants and galleries, while the Stour Valley beyond is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and was landscape that inspired John Constable. Colchester lies further north with two millennia of recorded history. No smoking throughout.
