Ash Mill Cabin

Ash Mill Cabin sits alone in a clearing within 40 acres of unspoilt woodland in one of Devon's quieter valleys. A long track through the trees leads to this detached log cabin, where a stream runs through the grounds and walking trails fan out across the property. The setting is genuinely remote—a proper retreat from everyday noise.

The single ground-floor bedroom has a double bed and woodland views. The living room centres on a woodburner; the kitchen is fitted with an Aga, electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. There's a roll-top bath in the bathroom. Electricity, bed linen, towels and initial logs for the fire are included. The cabin comes with an enclosed lawned garden, patio furniture, barbecue and parking for two cars. One dog is welcome.

Chulmleigh village is nearby for shops and food. South Molton, a proper market town with a weekly farmers' market and independent retailers, is a short drive away, as is Barnstaple with its theatre, cinema and museums. But most visitors come here to walk the woodland and do very little else.
