Shoreline
Torridge
Appledore's fishing village sits where the Torridge meets the sea, its cobbled streets and working quayside giving way to open water and shifting light. Shoreline occupies the upper floor of a former cinema on Irsha Street, built around 1919 to seat 500 locals watching silent films. Today the building's tall windows and period bones frame 180-degree views across the estuary—something the open-plan living area, master bedroom and Juliet balconies all command.
The space sleeps four across two bedrooms: a kingsize with ensuite shower and a double, plus a family bathroom with bath and shower. The living area holds a 45-inch Smart TV, DVD player and access to both balconies. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; a welcome pack arrives on check-in. Parking is available on road at no charge, or in a nearby car park for daily or weekly fees.
The village centre is a short walk, with pubs and restaurants scattered throughout. Reaching the apartment involves 16 steps with handrails on both sides. The elevated position and balconies mean families with young children should take care of the drop.
