What visitors say
Handily was five mins walk from the airport and you only need an hour before flights so I had time to kill. Open only until 1pm. The £10 entry is a bit steep but the museum is surprisingly large and had a lot packed into it. Displays narratives and organisation of the museum could have been planned better but the occupation street is nicely modelled and there’s enough to see. Small cafe at the back.

Incredibly thoughtful exhibition with everything from nazi weapons, to local newspaper clippings about resistance, to personal artefacts of those living during the occupation. It's also deceptively big with a whole top floor street scene. No it's not modern, but any of the reviews here talking about a need for modernisation are missing the utter charm of the place. It's like a 1960s time capsule. The owner curator doesn't like cards, so it is cash only. Also given he is in his 80s and runs other sights it is fair he is strict with timings to all the people complaining about not being allowed in when turning up late!

A great museum which has been collected and put together by a small group of islanders that shows the years through the occupation and the Human cost . The island is dotted with visible reminders of those years but this museum is a must see.

Have to say this is the best place to visit if you’re in Guernsey. The down side is that it closes at 1pm and only takes cash. £8 for adults. But was glad we went here. Was the best place to visit
