Caledonian Hotel
Quay Street, overlooking the harbour, Ullapool · Hotel
An 83-room hotel built in the early 1900s overlooking Ullapool's working harbour, with pleasant gardens and a quiet, traditional atmosphere.
About Caledonian Hotel
Caledonian Hotel is one of the oldest and largest hotels in Ullapool, built in the early 1900s on Quay Street directly above the working harbour. Its 83 bedrooms make it one of the biggest single properties in town, well suited to coach parties, wedding parties and larger groups as well as individual travellers.
The hotel retains a traditional Highland hotel character, with pleasant gardens to the rear and public rooms looking out over the fishing boats on Loch Broom. It is part of the Bespoke Hotels group, which oversees its ongoing refurbishment while maintaining the building's period character.
Its harbourside position puts it within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal, shops and restaurants, and its size means it rarely sells out even when smaller guest houses in town are fully booked over the summer season.
