The Ceilidh Place is unlike anywhere else to stay in Ullapool: a hotel built around a bookshop, café-bar, restaurant and music venue that has hosted folk sessions, author events and ceilidhs since it was founded by actor Robert Urquhart in 1970. Bedrooms are spread across the main building and an adjoining bunkhouse annexe, giving a range of styles and budgets under one roof.

Its café-bar serves food and drink from morning until late, and the venue has won recognition as Music Venue of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, making it as much a destination for an evening out as a place to sleep.
