The Dutch Barn is a converted agricultural building on the edge of an arable farm near Ashdon, sleeping ten across five bedrooms. Four have kingsize beds with their own shower rooms; the fifth contains two single beds and accesses a separate bathroom with a bath. Each room has heated towel rails. Underfloor heating and a woodburner keep the property warm in winter, while the open-plan ground floor—with its 65-inch smart TV, kitchen fitted with two ovens and a dishwasher, and patio doors onto the garden—works for families or groups wanting to cook together and spread out.
Outside, there is an enclosed lawn, a hot tub, patio furniture, a BBQ, and bike storage. A lake on the grounds is fenced. You have private parking for five cars and can fish on site. The village of Ashdon has two pubs within walking distance serving food; Saffron Walden, a medieval market town with a twice-weekly market, is nearby. Essentials including bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are provided, and logs for the woodburner are supplied. The property is non-smoking. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request.
