East Monkton Farm Cottage

You enter East Monkton Farm Cottage into a boot room that opens to the kitchen and dining space—a cook's setup with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine all there. The living room sits separate and spacious, good for evening company. Downstairs there's also a toilet. Upstairs, two double bedrooms (each 4ft 6in) and a shower room with cubicle finish the layout. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all included; the place has oil central heating too. One dog stays free and can use the enclosed rear garden, where there's also a BBQ and furniture. A larger front lawn and off-road parking complete the grounds. No smoking inside.

The farmland setting sits within a mile of Monknash Beach, with the Glamorgan Heritage Coast offering cliff-top walking towards Somerset and North Devon views. Southerndown beach is nearby, as is Ogmore-by-Sea with its sand dunes. Inland, Cowbridge town has shops and cafés six miles away. For activity beyond walking or beach time, a go-kart centre is three miles off, while Margam Park (twelve miles) has woodland trails and Go Ape. The Old Carpenters Arms sits close by for an evening meal.
