Little Nymett

Little Nymett is a thatched cottage in North Tawton, West Devon, arranged over two floors with room for two guests. Downstairs, a combined living and dining space has a woodburner, TV and DVD player; the kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Upstairs, a super king bed and a bathroom with bath and shower complete the layout. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the property is non-smoking.

The cottage benefits from period character—exposed beams and plasterwork run through it—but the interior has been updated for modern living. Outside, there is private parking for one car and an enclosed garden with seating. The village of North Tawton is about a mile and a half away, where you'll find shops and a pub; restaurants are further afield. Okehampton, roughly 15 miles south, serves as the main regional hub and the gateway to Dartmoor National Park, with walks across the moorland for all abilities. The Devon coast lies within reach too, with beaches at Saunton, Woolacombe and Westward Ho!, and Clovelly's fishing village nearby. Castle Drogo and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor are accessible for day trips.
