Primula House is a Grade II listed granite cottage from around 1850, standing in Sticklepath on the fringe of Dartmoor National Park. Families and couples will find the space comfortable for a week away: three bedrooms accommodate up to five people, with two bathrooms spread across the property. One bedroom has an ensuite, and the main bathroom includes a bath with shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial fuel for both the multi-fuel burner downstairs and the dining room's woodburner.
The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs you have a sitting room centred on a stove, a dining room with a granite fireplace, and a kitchen fitted with a Heritage range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine—everything needed to cook properly or do laundry during your stay. Patio doors open onto decking at the back. A front garden with seating looks out over the grounds, where a stream runs through unfenced land; this is something to note if you have young children. The property takes one car on site.
Walkers will find the location ideal, with Dartmoor on the doorstep and the National Trust's Finch Foundry nearby. A pub lies within a mile. No smoking inside the cottage. Check-in is after 3pm, checkout before 10am.

What guests say
We stayed here for a week and loved the place. It has a lot of space (certainly for the two of us) and a great kitchen/sunroom where we mostly enjoyed our stay. A lot of hikes into Dartmoor NP are possible from the doorstep including some nice pub lunch hikes. A great pub and tearoom (also sells bread and vegetables, etc) are on walking distance (less than a minute).
