A lovely quiet site within a few miles of shops and places to eat. This is a quiet site ideal for relaxation. The shower and toilet facilities were absolutely spotless thanks to the hard working wardens. There is a dog walking field and even a shower for your dog.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Appledore, we were very pleased with our stay. The site made a lovely base for our Dartmoor walks. The warden Linda was incredibly helpful, as were the owners. We hired a firepit which meant we were able to have some relaxing evenings by the fire. The site is well maintained with clean toilets and showers. There aren't any shops on site but there is a small Nisa around 5 minutes down the road, as well as a town centre with a variety of shops about 10 minutes away. I would strongly recommend staying here if you're visiting the area, although I would be mindful that if you have young family they may get restless without anything to entertain them on site.

We went for a few days between Christmas & the new year. Nice and quiet site. Never had much to do with the staff, what we did have they were really helpful. It was winter so the site was boggy in places, definitely need your wellies. There’s a large field that was fine for dog walking. The enclosed dog walk had a gap in the fence so you need to be aware of it. The facilities block was first class. The showers took some getting used to as theyre sensor activated. Lots of jumping in and out until the water heated up.

We were pleased to be able to pitch up at this site with our small tent. There are very specific areas you can and cannot go but the facilities are easily accessible and super clean and efficient. Its expensive for 2 people no car no electric at £24 for 1 night but worth it.
