Dunmallet
Westmorland and Furness
Dunmallet sits in Pooley Bridge on the northern edge of Ullswater, where the River Eamount runs along the far end of the garden. The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms—a kingsize and two pairs of single beds—with two shower rooms. A wood-burning stove warms the living room, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Wifi and heating are included, as are bed linen and towels.
The real draw is the garden itself. It stretches 100 feet back and contains a private hot tub. There's a fenced section where the river runs, seating areas for outdoors, and a barbecue. A step down leads from the cottage into this space. One dog stays free. No smoking inside.
Ullswater is a few minutes away—the lake itself is walkable, and you can paddle board or kayak from the water's edge. Pooley Bridge village has pubs, restaurants and tea rooms within easy reach. The property suits families and groups of up to six, though note there is a doorbell camera at the entrance.
