Honeywood
Westmorland and Furness
Westmorland and Furness has a particular quiet to it, especially around the Duddon Estuary where this cedar lodge sits. The estuary itself lies roughly 2 miles away—close enough for coastal walks and salt air, far enough to feel properly removed from things. The Lake District National Park spreads across the landscape within 10 miles or so, with Coniston Water and the higher fells also within reach for days when you want something more active.
Honeywood is a single bedroom, one-bathroom property sleeping two, designed around the idea of doing very little. The living space faces out through patio doors towards a golf course and the estuary beyond, which is where the dining table sits. A gazebo in the garden holds a private hot tub—the sort of place where you'll spend long evenings watching the light change. Everything needed for a break is here: wifi, heating, bed linen and towels all included. There is private parking and a patio area to settle into. The lodge does not permit smoking.
This suits couples after genuine downtime, though the Lake District's walking and water activities are near enough to pursue if the mood takes. A pub sits within a mile, for evenings out without going far.
