Westmorland and Furness

Step into Jenlea Cottage and you have the run of the whole place: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-plan ground floor where the kitchen, dining area and living room flow together. Upstairs feels spacious rather than cramped, with a double bed in one room and twin singles in the other, each with its own bathroom nearby. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washing machine all here—and there's Freeview TV in the living area for quieter evenings.
The cottage sits in Kirkby-in-Furness, on the quieter side of South Cumbria, with views across to the Duddon Estuary and Coniston mountains. An enclosed garden with patio and furniture gives you outdoor space, and there's parking for three cars on site. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included. The village has a shop 500 yards away and a pub 250 yards on, making it convenient without feeling hemmed in. Coniston is 20 minutes' drive, Windermere 25 minutes—close enough for Lake District exploration, far enough to escape the crowds. One well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking inside.

Excellent location. Lovely house well equipped even for wet weather. We liked it so much we have booked to stay next year in the summer 🙌

Lovely cottage for exploring the Southern Lakes. Well equipped with lovely views. 2 dogs enjoyed the garden to run around in. Only problem was finding the lane when we arrived but probably just not reading the instructions properly!
