Tiptoe

Tiptoe is a single-bedroom lodge in Steeple Ashton, a village in Wiltshire roughly an hour from Bath. Everything is on the ground floor with level access, and the whole place is yours alone. The bedroom has a king bed; the bathroom is ensuite with a shower. A living and dining room sits between them, with a kitchen that has an electric oven, hob and microwave, plus a washer-dryer for longer stays. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered; heating is oil central.

The courtyard is enclosed and accessible from the main room via patio doors. One car can park on site. A single small dog stays free, and the owner leaves extra touches for them alongside a welcome pack for you. The property doesn't allow smoking. The village pub and a shop are within walking distance—100 and 200 yards respectively. Walking routes fan out from the doorstep, and the Longs at Steeple Ashton lies nearby. For wider exploring, Trowbridge (5 miles) has shops, restaurants and a cinema. National Trust properties including Lacock Abbey, Stourhead and Dyrham Park are all within reach, and Stonehenge and Avebury are close. Railway stations at both Trowbridge and Westbury offer direct trains to London.
