About Littleton Retreat
Tucked away near Semington, Littleton Retreat earns its lofty 4.9 rating through a winning combination of peaceful surroundings and genuine hospitality. The site offers thirteen grass pitches split between electric hook-ups and non-electric options, plus dedicated tent pitches, all set in grounds that strike a lovely balance between seclusion and accessibility for exploring Trowbridge and the surrounding Wiltshire countryside.
Facilities cover the essentials well—clean showers and toilets, drinking water, and waste disposal—though you'll need to manage without WiFi, which many visitors see as a blessing rather than a drawback. Dogs receive a warm welcome, making this a particularly good shout for families travelling with four-legged members. The relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere seems to be what keeps people returning.

What visitors say
We visited on the 2nd ‘hottest day’ of the year and was so glad the campsite was amazing! It’s small in terms of number of pitches but each pitch is perfectly spacious. Best part after a very sweaty drive and set up was clean toilets and a great shower! We have family very locally so will be back, but maybe when a little cooler!!!

Lovely little campsite. Tidy, well maintained, attractive good size pitches, clean facilities, and hot showers. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. The owner is also friendly and helpful. A great find.

Lovely small and friendly site. Owner is incredibly helpful. Toilet blocks are clean. Pitches are flat. Very well maintained. Struggled slightly getting our caravan in due to new trees that had been planted but managed to get in fine in the end. Pitches are separated with fences and small trees. Overall would recommend and would go back.

Stayed here at the beginning of August, due to being the first there got to pick our spot. We opted for the closest to the wash station/loos but even the furthest plot is such a short distance away we wouldn't have minded either way. Everything was beautifully maintained and I've never felt so safe. I went with 3 children, age 1-8. My eldest is disabled and can often be a flight risk thats normally a huge concern but here it was like a whole new child and I felt completely comfortable letting her play and knowing she'd be absolutely fine. Some light traffic noise at night but in the 3 days we were here never heard any sirens blaring in an evening or any other noise. It was perfectly peaceful and if anything the consistent flow of traffic was more like white noise than a disturbance. Typically further than I'd normally like to travel from where I live, but I'd do it any day for this site. So reasonably priced and a true slice of heaven. The friendliest locals I've ever encountered surrounding a beautiful secure site. There's a park on site that's not strictly "for" the site but you can use at own risk, that was a huge hit with the kids and there's an abundance of water facilities throughout the site. I truly can't wait to return. Bonus of the sections being separated by wooden fence so you're relieved of people trying to cut between your tent and tripping over ropes.
