About Hawthorne Farm Wisbech

Found in a quiet corner of the rural Cambridgeshire Fens – close enough to the borders of Lincolnshire and Norfolk for days out in three counties – Hawthorne Farm is an intimate, well-kept site with grass pitches (electric and non-electric) overlooking rolling fields. Dogs are welcomed with open arms and get their own dedicated exercise field, though they're asked to keep off the leafy garden around the pond. Cloudless evenings bring spectacular sunrises, sunsets and Milky Way views, while quiet fenland lanes invite leisurely bike rides straight from your pitch.

The facilities are straightforward but thoughtful: a decent toilet block, washing-up area, launderette, and communal fridge and freezer for campers. Despite the remote feel, Wisbech supermarkets are only 15 minutes' drive, with farm shops, pubs and restaurants within easy reach. The site's peaceful location and small scale (11–25 pitches) make it ideal for unwinding, though you'll need a car to explore the wider Fens properly.

What visitors say

We visited for the early May bank holiday and had a great time. Roy the owner met us on arrival and directed us to our pitch, it’s a great field, nice and flat with decent size pitches. Roy told us where all the facilities were and couldn’t have been more helpful. The toilets and showers were a good size and nice and clean (great if you have children) and there is a separate building with sink, washing machine and dryer. Everything you need. This is great site for dogs with a field next door to take them for a walk, Elton our Yorkshire Terrier loved it. Overall a fantastic weekend on a great site we’ll definitely be back. Would really recommend it.

If you love wide, open spaces then this is the site to visit. The toilets & showers are clean. Washing machine & dryer are cheap. Owners are brilliant, friendly & can't do enough to help. There is a little shop a couple of miles away, the nearest town is Wisbech. Site is flat & level because it's the Fens. Amazing sunsets & wildlife. The only downside was the state of the roads to get there. Not the Owners fault & they are trying to get the council to sort it. Super dog friendly, with no limit on the number of dogs you can take & a brilliant doggy field.

A lovely flat campsite. Good clean facilities. Lots of nice dog walks plenty poo bins and poo bags so nobody should leave any dog mess behind. Grass was short and no lumps of grass lying around to get walked into your tent. We saw a hare, buzzards, red kites, and an assortment of small birds. This is the place to de-stress and listen to nature. The Owners were very friendly and helpful, I was trying out a new tent and it took me longer to pack up than I thought so was over an hour late leaving the huge pitch. I was only there for 2 nights but it was so relaxing I felt id had a weeks holiday

This is a campsite so no rooms. Beautifully kept pitches with full amenities ie toilets, showers, washing area, microwave, kettle and laundry facilities. Very friendly and helpful owners. Perfect place if you have a dog as a fabulous exercise field plus doggy poo bags available at the gates! Most definitely recommended.
