The Willows Holiday Park

We have just returned from our stay at Willows Holiday Park. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the area. The accommodation was clean and well presented. The staff were friendly. We found the 5pm check in time to be quite late for us, especially when we didn’t have any heating when we first arrived. This was sorted after about an hour and a half wait for someone to arrive. We didn’t realise we would be asked to pay a £20 cash deposit on arrival for the key, however when I explained we had no cash on us, the bar staff told us not to worry, which was helpful. We were informed that we wouldn’t be able to park outside of our caravan due to the grass being really wet and the cars causing damage to the grass. I had no problem parking in the main car park as our caravan was relatively close to the car park, however due to there only being grass leading up to the caravan, it ended up being very muddy walk. We ended up checking out a day earlier mainly due to the 9am check out time the next day being slightly early for us with three very young kids, and also due to the muddy grass. Our kids enjoyed the caravan and the local area. We probably wouldn’t stay again during the wet winter months again due to the grass and lack of paths leading to the caravan, however we had a nice holiday.

A truly amazing local family business, the food is always fantastic, always made to feel very welcome. We go frequently and have even had parties here, all staff are very friendly and Andy and Caroline are always great hosts, always helping and making guests feel welcome and appreciated. Highly recommended

Excellent Holiday Park , rental accommodation very Clean and of good quality at decent prices . The clubhouse on park is fabulous , staff are very efficient, attentive , friendly and polite ,they are a credit to the park., especially Jake if you wanna talk football , horses and have a good laugh jakes your man . The food is Amazing from lightbites to Sunday roasts , working my way through the menu .

Ordered a caravan with parking, however we were made to park down near reception even though we stressed we had distinctly requested one, then refused a temporary entry fob just so we could at least unload the car, but again just a flat refusal, instead we had to carry all our luggage over several journeys back & forth, which was over grass with no paths at all, so instantly walked mud all over the floor, spent the next hour cleaning, then found faulty bathroom door, faulty main door, restaurant staff that were telling us they were shutting an hour earlier than the time stated on site & in the welcome book inside the accommodation, then asked for a higher than stated deposit than the one we were told about on booking, which when questioned about the girl agreed to our specified amount, perhaps she was taking her own tip for her lack of professionalism, shambolic from start to finish only stayed 3 nights & couldn't wait to leave, shocking experience... go elsewhere, get better service in a hostel...
