Tucked in a peaceful East Yorkshire meadow, Hollym Country Camp delivers proper back-to-basics family camping just a 10-minute stroll from the sandy east coast. This small, family-run site keeps things refreshingly simple – expect a well-maintained field sheltered by hedgerows, a wildlife pond to explore, and little more than a basic toilet block and drinking water by way of facilities. It's wild camping in spirit, if not strictly in practice, so pack a decent torch for after-dark wanderings and come prepared to be self-sufficient.
The location more than compensates. Withernsea's attractions are five minutes away, Hull's celebrated Deep aquarium half an hour's drive, and the village pub and tea shop an easy walk. Barbecues are welcome at your pitch (bring your own kit), and there's a large supermarket in Withernsea for supplies. Some visitors note the facilities can feel a touch tired, but for families seeking uncomplicated, affordable seaside camping with room to roam, this hedge-lined hideaway ticks the boxes.

Lovely little site just a short walk from withernsea. Well kept and very pleasant. Short walk to the pub. Lovely owner. Only one toilet but nice and clean. We will be using this site again

Not my cup of tea of a campsite, very small with parking right next to each other, dogs allowed but have to be on lead at all times … good area to clean pots but not much more. Cameras everywhere on site?

WOW ! I don’t even know where to start, the most perfect 2 day holiday me, my partner and our son had. Perfect little pitch, woman who manages it is so so kind. Always checked in how our night were and was so welcoming on arrival. Do not have 1 bad thing to say at all about our stay, it was all just perfect ! If anyone’s looking for a cheap little holiday, right near the seaside I’d definitely recommend here ! Will definitely be coming again and will be recommending to others ❤️

Stayed for one Saturday night. Nice little spot, very basic amenities but was perfect for what we needed / wanted. Lovely women greeted us and gave the site a homely vibe. Only downside we found was there were no taxis / Ubers even on a Saturday night.
